Would You Like to Adopt A Turtle?

These adoptions are symbolic. They provide an opportunity to support sea turtle protection in Virgin Islands National Park and make wonderful gifts for grandchildren, children, family and friends.

NOTE: Please let us know in the special notes section in the basket when you check out if you would like to receive an adoption certificate and include the name that you would like on it.  Certificates come with a species information card.  

Should you choose to adopt a Nest of Hatchlings, you will receive an adoption certificate (don't forget to include the name of the person you want on the certificate in the special notes section at checkout) as well as a general nesting fact sheet and update emails when the nest has been laid and when it has hatched. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn about the nesting cycle and share in the excitement of baby hatchlings heading out to the ocean! 

Add a cute plush turtle or a turtle tee available in our shop to your cart to complete your gift!

Friends of Virgin Islands National Park is totally dependent on donations and the support of lovers of St. John like you!  The Sea Turtle Program aims to protect sea turtle nests, facilitate research projects, and spread awareness of sea turtle conservation! This season we helped more than 3,000 sea turtle hatchlings safely reach the sea! Proceeds from Adopt a Turtle go towards sea turtle protection.
