Nancey's Fundraiser

Help me raise funds for the Friends of Virgin Islands National Park's Learn to Swim program. I'll be swimming the short course (1 mile) from Maho to Cinnamon Bay, a little over 1 month after I hit the big 75. It may be the last open water swim this old broad gets to do so please help me put money into this program which teaches local VI kids how to swim, a pretty important skill to have when you live on an island, don't you think? Well, I do, and I'm lucky to have learned to swim at a very early age. It's come in real handy from time to time in my life and I would like to pass it on to the wonderful kids on St. John. Imagine living in "American Paradise" but not being able to get in the water safely and experience all the wonder of turtles, octopi, spotted eagle rays, reef squid and coral (to name some of the wonders in the sea around our beloved island. The Friends program has been teaching local kids for years now and, thanks to Joe Kessler (who founded the Beach to Beach Power Swim) we have a way to "pay it forward" and help the people who make St. John so special. Every little bit helps!!!
